Telephone

The telephone was first patented by Alexander Graham Bell hours before another inventor, Elisha Gray, filed a patent for his version of the telephone. A battle ensued as to who was the first inventor of the telephone,Alexander Graham Bell won. Some of the first users of the telephone were, Doctors, Pharmacists, early adopters of the technology, wealthy individuals which included Mark Twain.
